4 Food & Drink Mancations for March

Foodie and Wino Mancations

This month, the foodies and wino’s among us have a handful of quality options.  Depending on your available time, budget, and favorite mode of transportation you could be jetting or road tripping to some of the greatest cities in the world.

Vancouver Playhouse Wine Festival

Even though the Vancouver Playhouse Wine Festival actually kicked of on Feb 25, it spills over into March (ending on March 4) so we threw it in here as well.  Vancouver is just an great city to visit, so it’s worth keeping events there on the list whenever possible.  Dropping in on the wine festival would also be a great addition to a ski/snowboard trip to Whistler right at the time of year when snow conditions are at their best.  We’re all about getting the most out of your mancations, so doubling up on an epic Vancouver guys trip sounds fine to us.   Perhaps you just need a place to drop off the ladies (yes, we know girls ski too) while the guys hit the slopes?  You’re Welcome.

Ya, here’s some gratuitous pow footage.

Charleston Wine & Food Festival

You know a food festival will be good when the list of pitmasters is as long and (maybe more) distinguished as the guest chefs.  Add in a list of brewers, vineyards  and distilleries from around the world and you’ll start to see why we’re literally drooling over this epic mancation trip idea.  Running from Feb 28-March 4, the Charleston Wine & Food Festival is a great reason to get the guys together for a few days and check out an amazing American town.  For those bros already down in the Southeast, this would make for an unforgettable road trip.

Melbourne Food and Wine Festival

While the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival isn’t the only event on our list that requires a passport (for us North Americans anyway), it does require the greatest time commitment to get all the way to the other side of the planet.  However, when you get there you get to truly experience one of the world’s greatest cities.

This event is less a group of tents and more a full city, and even regional, experience.  Basically, the whole town is in on it so check out some of these local’s input on can’t miss food & drink venues:

St. Patty’s Day

St Patty's Day Mancation Guiness

Of course, you don’t need to go anywhere further than the fridge or neighborhood pub to enjoy a truly Bromentous occasion.  However, if you want to hop a flight to New York, or even Dublin, that would take the mancation to the next level.  Happy St. Patty’s Day!
